I love that the timing worked out so that we ended up doing the letter X over the week of Halloween.
We got in lots of really fun skeleton crafts and really enjoyed learning about bones!
Arthur's homemade skeleton!
We talked about the importance of being a good eXample for our letter themed FHE.
This cute craft idea came from one of my new favorite blogs for preschool ideas: preschoolalphabet.blogspot.com
I drew with a white crayon on white paper and Arthur painted over with watery black paint to make the picture appear. We had just read all about x rays and how they work.
Then we 'x rayed' Arthur's hand!
| These cute growing skeletons were perfect for our X week. Thank you dollar store! |
Arthur constructed this life size skeleton puzzle.
| Another great Halloween find to go with our week! |
Arthur had been looking forward for months to dressing up as Bill Nye the Science Guy for Halloween and Stella got to be a sweet little bumble bee!
SCIENCE!!!
What an adorably handsome Bill Nye!
I made his lab coat out of a blue button down shirt that was a few sizes too big for him. I just switched out the buttons, added some pockets and tailed it in and voila!
This was the first time Stella let us put her costume on her. How cute is she?!
With her cousin Parker the monster.
Daddy 'buzzzed' her around the neighborhood to the first few houses, but once she figured out their was candy waiting on the doorsteps she joined the big kids for some real Trick-or-Treating!
What a cute pair!
Arthur just adores his cousins! We love that they live so close! He and Tyler are the same age and love playing together.
As the night wore on
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
