Y oh Y

We finished our Letter of the Week preschool last month but, as life goes, I am just now getting to the pictures. So here we are at letter Y! I came across this picture of Stella in the bath kicking off our Y week. She managed to squeeze herself into the yellow bath toy basket and very excitedly signed 'boat'!!
That set Arthur off singing 'We all live in a yellow submarine...' one of his all time favorite songs!

Y is one of those tricky letters that doesn't have an abundance of letter related activities, but we managed to enjoy the week with some play time in the Yard- thank goodness for all the fall leaves!

 Arthur made a leaf angel!

We practiced writing the letter Y on our whiteboard and observed how the uppercase letter stands on the line while the lowercase letter sits and hangs his tail below the line.

All things Yellow to decorate our letter!

We played some fun Yes/No games, like this guessing game where you ask yes or no questions to try and determine what picture is on your head.

Yogurt raisins came in handy for writing Y's and they were also Yummy to eat!

And finally, we finished with some Yarn art!

Making Yellow Y's out of pipe cleaner.

YES!!!! Only one letter to go......
