We had some wonderful visits with old friends in September. Yep, they came from all over the world just to see us! Ok, so they were really here on vacation and we were lucky enough to steal some time with them and we are so glad that we did!
Jon and Liz live in Poland and we became great friends while we were living in Warsaw. I remember meeting them for the first time with their little baby Ania in her stroller, now she is three and has a baby brother as well! Liz really got me through our time in Poland- not only with her translating skills, but with play dates, game nights, lunches together, excursions to the park, touristy wanderings through the city and long chats. We so loved being near them and have really missed them! It was fun to see their kids looking so big and to get in another play date!
We also had some really close friends from England visit with their family. Steve and Kiri are the best, and we loved catching up with them! They have two boys, plus Levi and his little girl Eve came along on a hike up to bridal veil falls one afternoon.

These boys have been friends forever. So long in fact, that I'm pretty sure we have a few other pictures identical to this one of the three of them spaced out through the years.

We went downtown with them the night before they left to take in the sights and have dinner. The kids all had a great time...and Stella really enjoyed her ice cream dessert!
