I started a chore chart for Arthur last week after weeks of wanting to make one for him I finally came up with this idea. I added sticky back Velcro to some of the plastic quarters from our Q week and printed up six days of the week plus two squares for extra chores. Each day that Arthur completes all of his chores he gets to add a quarter to that day, then at the end of the week he collects his earnings! We've been wanting to offer Arthur an allowance of some kind to help him learn about managing money, and I think this might be a good marriage between chores and money earning. We'll see how it goes, but we just finished our first week and so far Arthur seems really motivated to stay on top of his daily chores.
Unfortunately my blog really believes that this picture has to be sideways and won't let me flip it around. Arthur wrote his name by himself the other day, I found that by drawing a line for each letter helped him keep his letters in the right order. I am so proud of Arthur and all that he is learning and doing! He really has a passion for science and animals and is getting really good at recognizing all of the letters of the alphabet. I love being able to see him develop his skills and gain more and more confidence in so many areas that we have worked on in preschool!
