A few fun things from our week that we actually took pictures of!
We are studying the weather for science and one of our lab projects this week was making a weather vane. It was simple to make and works really well! Here's Arthur testing it out for the first time.
Every time the wind blows the weather vane swings around and points in the direction that the wind is coming from. I loved the surprised look on his face anytime it pointed back at him!
I had some appointments this week so Chris took a day off to spend with the kids. They went to explore and old Abbey ruin in Leeds.
We are starting our study of Ancient Egypt in history, so Arthur has been really interested in all things Egyptian. We picked up a couple of things from IKEA on Friday and while Chis was building them yesterday Arthur had the idea to turn this empty box into a sarcophagus!
I love his drawing skills!
Since we had two identical boxes Arthur helped Stella make one as well by drawing it out for her.
Then came the coloring in...
His and Her matching sarcophagi!
Stella's reminds me of Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast, but with Egyptian flair!
And of course, it wouldn't be authentic without a mummy inside!
The rest of the day included making a giant bird's nest out of stuffed animals and blankets!
I love my cute creative kids!
