Erd is the word

Lately Arthur has been putting a new spin on his vocabulary. Suddenly all of his words end in "erd". Please tell me he isn't the only child that has done this! I know he will sort it out at some point, but it sure does make translating for Arthur a bit tricky all of a sudden. I feel like I should become fluent in pig latin just in case he decides to get really fancy. Here's a taste of what we have been hearing from him lately:

"chickerd" (chicken)
"hammerd" (hammer)
"flipperd" (flipper)
"carperd" (carpet)
"grocerd" (groceries)
"farmerd" (farmer)..... I am sure you are beginning to get the idea!

Even sentences become tricky to piece together now, almost as if he has a secret code language, for instance....when he talks about the baby in Mama's tummy it sounds like:

"Baberd in Mama's tum!"
