Can I buy a vowel?

Arthur is attempting so many new words lately it has been difficult to keep up! In the beginning I always knew that 'bah' was ball, but now it could mean almost anything! I am constantly amazed at what he is trying to communicate and the words that he picks up. Throughout the day now Arthur comes to me with a word and I spend the next several minutes guessing at all the things that I think he might by trying to say, while Arthur patiently repeats the word over and over until I get it right, it usually goes something like this:
Arthur: "Bah"
Me: "Ball?"
Arthur: "Bah"
Me: "Baaa, sheep?"
Arthur: "Bah"
Me: "Baby?"
Arthur: "Bah"
Me: "Bath?"
Arthur: "Bah"
Me: "Butter?"
Arthur: "Bah"
Me: "Batteries?"
And on and on, you get the idea! The biggest consolation to this often exasperating game for me is the huge smile and excited nod of the head that Arthur rewards me with when I finally understand what he is trying to say! I miss the days when "Ma ma" only meant one thing, now "Ma ma" sounds an awful lot like "Man Man" which starts to sound like "Snow man", and "Nore" could be "store" just as easily as it is "dinosaur"! The new words just keep coming and I'm sure that with practice he and I will both get this talking thing down!

This is such a frustrating stage! At least he seems pleasant about it. It gets really bad when they know what they want but don't know how to express it and then get mad when you can't figure it out quickly enough. And we have that robot shirt...gotta love Children's Place!

If you get a chance to capture a video moment of talking- it would so be fun to hear. We love you.

He's getting so big! I love the cute expressions on his face! But...I'm pretty sure that "Bah" means BreighAn. C'mon, Karin, don't you know!? :)
