I quickly threw some pictures up this morning with out having the time to write anything with them, so let me backtrack a bit...
While Chris' family was here visiting one of the things on the agenda was to have some nice pictures done of all of us together and our smaller family groups. Luckily for us we found a great photographer, who is actually the younger sister of an old friend of mine from Austin- small world! The day of the photos turned out to be a bit crazy and very hectic, as these things go, but the result was well worth it! We basically ended up doing two different photo shoots, one in the morning and one later that afternoon because half of our group got lost on the way to the meet up spot in the canyon that morning. So, needless to say, by the afternoon photo shoot all of the kids (and most of the adults) were pictured out! As for our kids...lets just say that cooperation was low in the three year old department, and Stella had figured out about ten minutes into taking pictures that morning that anytime I set her down I would quickly dash away to get out of the way of the camera! So she decided to combat this by just not ever letting me set her down.
I always worry during picture taking enterprises that nothing good will come of it. I have total faith in the talent of the photographer, but all I tend to see the whole time are the crying, pouting, and generally protesting faces of my children. Then when the day is done and we see the finished photos I am always blown away and although I may not remember them ever smiling, somehow we end up with beautiful happy looking children in well...most of the pictures! So thank you to our wonderful photographer for capturing the smiles that we feared would never come!

Haha, I didn't know it was Whitney! I'm glad they turned out well. Her photography skills amaze me too!
