Last week we went to see a piece of the original Warsaw Ghetto wall that imprisoned over 400,000 Jews during the Holocaust and where an estimated 100,000 residents lost their lives as a result of rampant disease, starvation, and random killings. This piece of the wall is in surprisingly good condition, you can still see the stamps on the bricks from the brick makers. Two bricks have been removed for use in the exhibit in Washington at the United States Holocaust Museum. This section of the wall is one of the last remaining sections still standing and is located in the courtyard of an apartment complex. What a unique piece of history, we love living in a place that allows us to just take a short walk to find these treasures of the past!

WOW that is amazing. I am sure you are just seeing so much!! Keep up the good work with the blog. I love looking at it!
Wow...If only those bricks could talk, they would tell us of the inhumanity they have witnessed. How can man do this type of atrocities to himself? Thank you for sharing your discovery, I'll definitely make sure to go have a look at it next time I'm in Warsaw.
I am going private, so I need your email. You can send it to my work email still the same!
