My "dig dig" digging boy!
The playground that we take Arthur to is in the middle of a big beautiful park that is also the site of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier commemorating Polish soldiers that have died in wars over the last several centuries. The flame that you can see at the back of the memorial in between the two guards is always burning and is always guarded. The structure is simple and yet serves as a profound reminder of the lives lost in war.
Lining the pathways that weave through the park are these statues representing different disciplines, this one for example is named 'Astronomy'.
The large fountain that you can see in the background here has now been turned on since the weather is warming up, it is beautiful! I will have to take our camera the next time we go to the park!
