For a science project we made a solar system diagram.

This was to illustrate the differences between planets, moons, and other space objects. So, after putting a sun in the center you could make up your own planets and add moons or rings to customize your solar system.

Queen Stella

Stella is doing so well in preschool! It has been really interesting to see the differences in Arthur and Stella's learning styles and preferences. Stella loves a workbook, but Arthur hates them. She doesn't get excited about crafts and matching games, but those were Arthur's favorite things in Preschool. I was worried at the beginning of our preschool year because Stella just didn't seem to pick up the letters very quickly. It was a little frustrating until I realized that my expectation was set according to what Arthur was doing at that age. Once I let go of that and recognized that they are different learners and work at different paces it has helped me to feel more relaxed about Stella's progress. She is doing really well now and remembers and recognizes all of the letters we have studied so far. I changed our activities a bit from what I did with Arthur in preschool because they weren't all a good fit for Stella. I've realized how advanced Arthur has always been and his capacity for facts and information is huge for his age. Where Arthur was happy to read book after book about animals, history, or geography, Stella would rather do a puzzle, or play a game! I am so thankful to be able to teach both of them, and love their unique ways of learning and interacting with the world!
