Christmas 2014!

We had a wonderful Christmas and spent a week with Chris' parents in Southern England- which meant lots of time with grandparents, friends, and cousins!

Making ornaments with the kids.

Grandad is in charge of the tree.

One of Grandma's festive Christmas hats!

Decorating the tree.

The finished product!

At the park near Anne and Phil's house.

Christmas Eve eve- the kids are ready to open one present before the big sleep to Christmas morning!

Grandma Carla and Grandpa Richard sent new slippers for the kids- they were a big hit!

Thank you!

A new pink monkey from Great Grandma Betty...

and new jammies from mom and dad.

Chris is just happy to have his Root Beer.

A conversation with Grandma.

The kids in their new matching pirate pajamas.

The night before Christmas we snuggle up and watch A Muppet's Christmas Carol, its a fun tradition!

I'm not sure who loves it more, Chris or the kids!

One last cup of eggnog before bed.

Christmas morning at last!

This year we got new games and books for the kids- toys are over rated!

My mom sent me a new pair of slippers as well.

Thanks mom!

My Dad sent a gift for Chris and it was perfect- a big multi function flashlight.

Very nice!

Sampling a new game with Great Grandad...

We love Moustache Smash!

Once all the family arrived it was time to send down Grandma's presents.

A marble run for Arthur and Stella!

Chris' grandmother was able to join us for a few hours on Christmas day.

The famous Christmas feast!

Somehow I got a bit out of order here, but this is a shot of some ice lanterns that the kids made.

On our way to Great Grandad's house to visit him and spend the day at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich Park.

Arthur with London in the background.

Doing a craft with Grandad.

Egg Nog doesn't exist in England and since this is one of the main staples of my Christmas joy I have learned how to make it. Now it is a new tradition every year on Christmas Eve to make a big batch of home made egg nog. YUM!
I don't think I could ever go back to the store bought kind.

Here we have the making of the ice lanterns that were pictured above.

It was a wonderful Christmas full of food, fun, family and great memories!

Merry Christmas, Daveys! Looks like you guys had a delightful time with family. Your kids are lucky to have cousins their ages. What wonderful traditions you are creating with them. They will treasure all the special family time and effort that you guys put into making these memories. Love you all!
