Chris' brother James and his wife Myrra came for a visit over Thanksgiving weekend, (also known in England as just another Thursday in November).
Since we weren't going to see them at Christmas time we exchanged gifts with them.

We went to a Christmas concert that night at a local church that also puts on a Christmas tree display.
It was just right for getting us in the holiday mood!

For Nature Detectives this week we were catching up on the Halloween themed challenges, so we went on a spooky scavenger hunt and found something nibbled by a beast (the remains of a squirrel's dinner) and some leaf skeletons.
Then we constructed a skeleton out of natural materials.

Of course it wouldn't be a spooky scavenger hunt without some wriggly worms!
