Yesterday was Stella's blessing day. It was a beautiful spring day and we were so fortunate to have wonderful friends and extended family that came for this special event. I think the biggest downside to hosting your own event is simply that between serving, hosting, and entertaining you never get the time to actually take pictures! We managed to get a few of the four of us, and did a mini photo shoot of Stella in her gorgeous blessing dress about two minutes before she pooped on it. My mom made Stella's blessing dress for her and my grandmother crocheted the pink baby blanket.
My favorite part of the blessing talked about Stella being blessed to be the kind of person that exudes hope and excitement for the time we live in and to inspire those feelings in others, that she would be a source of light in a world that is dark. She truly feels like a light in my life and in our family, and I am so thankful for having been blessed with this beautiful little girl.
We had a wonderful day surrounded by loved ones and warm sunshine, thank you!! We missed all of our family that couldn't be here, but you were in our thoughts and in our hearts! We love you all!
