85%

Arthur and I took Stella to her first well baby check today, so here are her stats: weight 10 lbs (85th percentile), height 21 3/4 inches (85th percentile)- she is a beautiful growing girl! When filling out the paperwork and answering questions about how she is doing thus far I did mark down a question about her feeding, but I don't think anyone there took me seriously- I mean, can there be any doubt that this girl gets enough to eat? Arthur is so sweet with Stella and loves having a little sister! Today Arthur was stretching out as far as he could, and when I asked him how tall he was he said, "I'm really tall- I'm a big brother!" He feels like quite the big boy now with a baby sister around, and I must say that he seems like such a big kid to me too! Lately he has been making me chuckle even more than usual:
The week before Stella was born Arthur had been hearing the midwife talk about Stella's position and the fact that she was posterior. He asked me what it meant and so I explained that Stella was just sitting backwards in my tummy and we were trying to get her to turn around so she could be ready to be born. After giving it some thought Arthur came up with a great idea and exclaimed: "I'll sing her the Hokey Pokey so she can turn herself around!"
Whenever Stella gets the hiccups (which is quite frequent!) Arthur announces: "She is saying 'cups'!"
Arthur was counting Stella's toes the other day and this is how it went: "This little piggy went to market, this little piggy stayed home, this little piggy had roast beef......and this little piggy had french toast, and this little piggy had waffles!" Apparently there are no piggies going hungry in our house!
Yesterday at lunch I had out some feta cheese and Arthur was asking me what it was, when I told him he didn't believe me: "No mom it's toe food!" "You mean tofu?" "No- TOE food!"
Hopefully one day Stella will learn as much from Arthur as I have lately! I love having these two with me all day and watching them grow! It is the best work I have ever done!
